Integrated development from chip level through components to fully functional modules for a harmonized overall system design
With our long-standing expertise in algorithm research and signal processing development, we ensure optimal interaction between hardware and software for each specific application. Our high-performance concepts for heterogeneous back-end architectures are based on microcontrollers, FPGAs, GPUs, and CPUs for sensor control and sensor fusion. For this purpose, we utilize distributed signal processing systems on dedicated hardware platforms.
In addition, we employ AI-assisted signal processing for intelligent real-time data evaluation. Using energy-efficient AI accelerators implemented in advanced technology nodes (in-memory computing, e.g., 22 nm FDSOI or 28 nm HKMG), we enable real-time analytics for applications such as non-destructive and contactless material property classification or 3D environmental perception.

We combine precise characterization of individual components with simulation methodologies for early-stage system optimization, complemented by comprehensive laboratory-based and real-world system-level functional testing.
Through iterative test cycles, we optimize timing, interfaces, signal flow, and performance parameters, ensuring ideal alignment between the frontend (sensor/chip) and backend (signal processing, FPGA/SoC, control electronics). For rapid process validation and optimization, we conduct multiple tape-outs and engineering runs per year in cooperation with established semiconductor manufacturers, ensuring reproducible results suitable for volume production.
